The Lannon Fire Department

Department Overview

The Village of Lannon Fire Department was established as a volunteer fire company in 1916.  Today, we are a paid on call municipal fire department that is staffed during the daytime hours.  Our firehouse is located on Main Street in the Village of Lannon which is located in the North East corner of Waukesha County and is boarded by the Villages of Menomonee Falls and Sussex and the Town of Lisbon.

Our department operates in a suburban area with an approximate population density of 500 people per square mile.  We also operate in portions of the Village of Menomonee Falls, which has an approximate population density of 1,000 people per square mile.  90% or more of the time we are able to have the proper apparatus staffed and en-route to the scene with in 6 to 8 minutes of the initial call for service.

Our department is currently divided into two divisions, the Operations Division and the Administrative Division.  Each of these divisions is broken down into small bureaus or sections with specific duties.

Administrative Division
Bureau of Administration
Bureau of Fire Prevention
Bureau of Training
Fleet Services Section

Operations Division
Bureau of Fire Suppression
Bureau of Emergency Medical Services
